STILL in New York along the “Mohican Trail in the Catskill Mountains”.
The card was published by “Kingston News Service”

There are a couple of “Mohican Trails” one is “The Mohican Trail,
NY routes US 9, NY 9N, NY 22 and US 4 in a circuit around Lake George,
are littered($50.00 fine for Littering, pal!)with historic sites as well as great scenery.
Beginning at the junction of routes US 9 and NY 67 north of Albany, this loop proceeds north to Ticonderoga, passing through Saratoga, Glens Falls and the touristy town of Lake George on its way.
Turning south on Route NY 22 and then Route US 4, the Mohican Trail visits Whitehall, Fort Ann, Fort Edward”
That info comes from THIS site
;
and then NY 23 is also identified by this name-these snaps are likely the latter.

A shot of NY 218's highest point.
On *My* NY 218 page, my photo was taken

Southern Vermont College students”
