the top of the junction shown on my index page.

The End of the US 9 Freeway.

|
| The justly famous Saratoga CH 1345.
Doug Kerr and I wandered around in the dead'o'nite looking for this one.
This is the highest numbered road of any class in NY according to Chris
Jordan.

| JN 20 sign southbound on the Thruway.
One of two button copy sines left.

|
| A sine salad at the US 44 and sometime US

|
| NY 17 at JN 105.
Look at the relationship between the junction plate and the arrow.
Ooops. It's the same westbound.
|
I noticed a VMS posted on NY 17
eastbound warning of a steep grade
between JN 111 and 112.
Here's why. I think this sign was taken down because the 16th Oct 2k3
windstorm may have stressed the mounting too much.
Good thing it didn't fall on the freeway. Ow.
|
| Closeup of the sign mounting. The hardware
is pretty well intact,
Leading me to suspect the sign was taken down.
|
| A shot to give you an idea of the size of
this thing.

|
| A companion sine down the road-giving an idea
of size again.

We have NY classics here-a constant slope wall,
and the wrong cutout on the advance sine.
