A quick photo shoot and bit of highway clinchage on the way back from Buffalo
Turn off the poop-up killa, another darng poop-up page.
RED means a poop-up link, too.

Junction signs in Canajoharie.
People who have been to the Signalfan group may have seen this one.
I have no clue why these visors are like this.
This is at the junction of NY 10 and NY 5S
Another Canajoharie legend: one of two known pedestal signals in NY.
The other is in Beacon and is elsewhere on this site.
Like the Beacon signal, this is not original equipment.
It's about 30 years old at the most.
Still in Canajoharie,
this trailblazer features an “Un-neutered” IH 90 Shield.
There's no accompanying Thruway Shield, either.
Looking west on Montgomery Street in Canajoharie.
You can see the pedestal signal in the background.
This is the same location as the shield snap above.
A hand-painted sign in Canajoharie.
NY 5S quite often runs within spitting distance of the Thruway
between Canajoharie and Fultonville.
NY 5S has a short dual section at the NY 162 junction.
Further up the junction, NY 162 leaves.
The bridge carries NY 162 to join NY 5S.
Some of the movements in this junction require use of a U-Turn.
This is the last shot of this, I promise.
A closeup of the NY 162 flyover;
notice how fast you go back to a single carriageway here.
A turn in the road east of the Hamlet of Stone Ridge.
A concrete section of NY 5 East of Fultonville.
