A few shots on the US 219 freeway and the IH 190.
Doug Kerr does the driving,
I do the Mom and road scoping.

Cut off yr poop-up killa, or ya don't get to see the big snapz.

Underpass on the US 219 Freeway southbound.
Mile Strip Road Junction on US 219.
It got all rainy and yuckies past this, so I didn't keep those snaps.
Time warpin here. Now on IH 190 northbound passing the Church Street JN.
Featuring the gore sine on a stick® mmmmmm.
Reasonably Spiffin shot of the IH 190 northbound at JN 8.
The light standards on the reservation wall are NYSTA issue,
and can also be found on the New England Thruway.
Niagara Street Ramp.
It even sez so on the sine.
A Pedestrian Bridge under reconstruction between JNS 8 and 9 on IH 190.
It features a VMS-per NYSTA tradition, saying nothing.
Actually a lot of them were on that weekend, nagging about seatbelts.
Approaching JN 9. There is a Mini-VMS under the JN 9 sign-
prolly to advise on bridge traffic conditions; as backups do occur.
The IH 190 pull-thru is button copy.
The on slip from the Peace Bridge junction joins;
The overpass is the opposite on-slip.
All slips join to the east of the freeway, at the foot of the bridge.

The NY 198 JN.
At this pont, you can join the NY 198 page; and continue in sequence.
The freeway name is given on this sign,
since NY 198 stays pretty much in Buffalo,
you really don't have much choice in control cities.
Southbound on the IH 190 now-after joining the freeway at JN 25.
Here's a power facility. There are gobs of these around here.
The LaSalle Expressway junction:
Your direct link to the Love Canal!
After NY 384 you cross the Niagara River and land on Grand Island.
Up the road a bit; You can see the North Niagara River bridge in the distance.
Coming onto Grand Island now; getting ready to cough up 4 bits.
Toll Plaza Geekage for ya.
This plaza has the same drum signs you'll find at Harriman;
unlike Harriman, there are no fixed EZ-Pass lanes.
EZ-Pass lanes have flashing yellow lights-none of which are lit.
Past the Toll Plaza, on Grand Island;
at the West River Parkway JN-This road is only open in fair weather
no winter maintainence is done.
It's a super-2 half-ring road.
Crossing back to the mainland from Grand Island.
You can see the northbound toll plaza at the left.
And working on getting to the IH 290 here.
You can see the flyovers in the second snap.
Lotsa powelines, too; these follow the IH 290-
giving it it's old name: The Powerline Expressway.
NY 263-Millersport Highway.
Southbound on the IH 990.
IH 990 southbound approaching JN 3.
The road widens to 3 lanes ahead.
The split for IH 290-The southern end of the IH 990.
On the slip from IH 990 to IH 290 east.
“Mouse Ears” sine on the IH 290 eastbound.
Kinda done on the cheap, this; and I think, potentially confusing.
The east end of the IH 290.
The “Rabbit Ears” sines are for a pending road works project.
The IH 290 eastbound at the IH 990 junction.
The “Thru Traffic” control city is used both ways at this junction.
