Save BIG on hundreds of items! Better hurry, shop now(before the store is looted)for greatest selection.
Offer good until January 1 only(Too late! It's your hard luck, pal!), quantities are limited. Tyres, as always, are not available.
However, we do carry a wonderful line of imported items as shown in the photographs below.

Jersey barrier and box girder railing at JN 36 on the Merritt Parkway

Coming up on JN 37 for CT 124.

And now, We're on CT IH 95 South(erm...west)bound! Ha!
I linked here via US 7, but the light was so horrid,
There was no way I would get any decent snaps.
There are gobs of exits for US 1 on this part of the IH 95

Further down the road here at JN 11 on the IH 95.
Another junction with US 1.
CT has a lot of these button copy sines left with the
rubbishy borderless junction plates(sorry, Kurumi).
A section of IH 95 with road works in the central reservation
hence the low speed limit(Normally it's 55).
JN 8 at Stamford.
Recent construction here.
Up the road a piece at junction 7 with a mütant state highway sine plate.
CT digs these, too. There are some to be found on IH 84.
Maybe it's just me, but this bridge looks lumpy.

A crummy snap, but interesting just the same.
We are about a mile inside CT and have a NYSDOT gantry for the IH 95-IH 287 split.
I like the Missouri style junction plate.

Back in NY again, and on the off slip from IH 95 to IH 287.
Note the lack of an IH 287 shield on the CWE sign,
even though there's room for one.
Still on the off slip here.
The right hand slip road leads back to IH 95
and is for Midland Ave. traffic, though it's easy enough to shift over to.
Nice if you messed up and ended up here by accident.
Banzai-Now we're on IH 684 Northbound at JN 2!
This is a new sine with the shield with the icky mütant lump on it. :P
Now at the overpass for JN 2-it's not really NY 120, BTW-NY 120 runs just east of here.
The banner advertises the upcoming NY State trooper's exam-
also advertised at troop “K” HQ in Millbrook.
If you look at the big snap, you'll see a NYS Trooper running radar
at the top left of the picture.
Old concrete on IH 684 north of JN 2.
Approaching JN 3 on the IH 684. NY 22 starts it's parallel run w/IH 684 here.
You'll note the loathsome hogo-logo sines on half-gantries here, something not often seen,
obviously installed that way because of the sound barrier at the right.

A bit further and we get the EXIT 3N sine.
The advisory speed plate is affixed to the sign due to lack of space
this is done at other junctions, too, where space isn't an issue.
This is the first of two signs-the other is on the full gantry in the distance.
You'll often find this sort of redundant signage on area freeways.
I think it's a good idea, myself.

And here's the sign for EXIT 3S

Between JNs 3 and 4 on the IH 684.
The asphalt is new here, and there are no cats eyes(note the Hutch photos)
The bridge in the distance also has a single support vs the usual gang of 3 piers
the protective fencing is rather beefy, too.
Approaching junction 4.
Approaching JN 6. This is another redundant sign.
JN 5 is southbound-only; and leaves the freeway after nortbound JN 6.
The gantry at EXIT 6. This is old button copy; it'll be replaced when
NYSDOT gets around to it. The gantry may be slated for replacement, too
(see below)

Brand new spiffin sines and box gantry.
Look closely at the EXIT ONLY panel-it's seperate from the rest of the sine.
Look just in front of the right hand gantry supports for the old triangular span.

We're in the C-D lanes at JN 6.
The Saw Mill River Parkway merge was just a bit back.

The C-D Lanes relative to the main lanes of IH 684 at JN 6.

And finally, here's EXIT 6.
Note that the EXIT ONLY panel is part of the main body of the sign.
They got it right this time :P

Oops. ow.
A hogo-logo sine that blew over in the wind near JN 6A.

JN 6A-a northbound-only exit.

Now I'm sure you've seen similar setups on many urban freeways-
in the central reservations. This setup is because NY 22 is hard by the freeway here.
This is just north of JN 6A. A look to the left BARELY shows the cool on-slip
southbound. I'll have to get some snaps on the ground sometime.
Just bippin'® along northbound on nice new asphalt.
Another handy dandy one way junction.
Southbound you skip from JN 8 to JN 6.

NY has Variable Message Sines. Gobs of them.
I have seen one of these in operation exactly once on the IH 84.
And it was displaying outdated info at that.
Mostly VMS's show what you see here. Nothing.

Another JN 7 sine.
Somers would be a handy exit southbound, since NY 116 nearly drops
me in front of Heritage Hills, the Condo Complex from HELL(it's like it's own city)
where I do a good bit of business.

A freeway bridge.

A local road junction with a sine format that NYSDOT likes to use
if they feel like it. I guess it's supposed to lend emphasis to the road name.
I think it just makes it harder to read-especially at 70 mph.
Funny other states aren't compelled to do likewise.
